Arabian Gelding

Ghost was rescued from a slaughter auction at 10 years old.  He suffered a great deal of traume from abuse and neglect.  After a lot of love and patience, Ghost began trusting us and is now a fairly confident boy.  He is a Mama's Boy and anytime he gets nervous in a situation he comes to me.  Ghost and I barrel raced competitvely and we both had a lot of fun.  He is now retired but enjoys the occasional trail ride.

Quarter Horse Gelding

Mister was also a slaughter bond horse that we rescued and rehabilitated.  He suffered from hoof problems when we got him and now has arthritis in his front legs, as well as stomach ulcers, but overall he is now a healthy, happy boy.  He is a big puppy dog and loves to follow us humans around.  He also loves to give people kisses on there hands!
Sonic Boom
"Boomer"
Age: 5 years
Belgian Gelding

Boomer came to us 100's of pounds underweight and after years of poor hoof care.  He is now putting on weight and doing very well.  He is a great boy and is an easy horse to ride, even though he's 19 hands tall!  My husband rides him bareback with just a halter and lead rope.
"Elvis"
Age: 10 years
Miniature Horse Gelding

When we went to pick up Boomer we met Elvis, Boomer's best buddy.  We just didn't have the heart to split up these two boys so the unlikely pair came to live with us.  Because Elvis ventures outside the horse pasture we have to use Halloween hair die to create an Orange X on his sides each fall to make sure no one mistakes him for a deer.  He never leaves our property and simply wanders from my parents' backyard to our yard, and then heads back to the pasture with the other horses in the evening, but we still want to ensure his safety during hunting season.  He plays chase with the dogs and loves to nibble on visitors clothes.  He also enjoys taking kids for rides either on his back or in his cart.
